In January 2006 we were given a grant from the Somerset County Council through their NLDC programme.
The grant enabled us to equip a room with 6 computers, chairs, printer and an interactive white board. This gave us the opportunity to provide an extra provision to the community where they can access the internet, gain basic IT skills and study towards qualifications.
In July 2006 five learners achieved their Level 2 Adult Literacy qualifications and more people are in the process of learning, to achieve qualifications.
All of this can be in a fully equipped, relaxed environment with qualified staff available for teaching and support.
If you are interested in accessing the computers contact us.

We were also pleased to receive a new revenue grant from NLDC. This was used to offer the community free group work sessions. The sessions provide basic wood skills training and safe use of hand and power tools training. These skills were put to use making a bird box or a bird table for them to take home. Some of the organisations who accessed these sessions were:
- NHS Bridgwater
- HOPIT (Horse Shoe Outdoor Project Including TRUCE) mums and dads
- Peace of mind, Taunton
- West Somerset Disability
- Elmwood School
- Stonecross
Gill:“All aspects of the course have been brilliant; all the staff have been friendly and helpful. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. I had a really good time!”
